In St. Petersburg, police detained a man due to a facial recognition system error that mistook the Russian for Ukrainian journalist Dmytro Gordon.
The incident occurred at Moskovsky Station. According to the musician, law enforcement officers approached him after the system “recognized” him as Gordon. One of the police officers even checked his stubble and hair “for suspicious activity.”
After the circumstances were clarified, the man was released, but he nearly missed his train.
