Google has posted updated images on maps, revealing the location of military systems of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. This was announced by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Centre for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defence Council.
‘Imagine the situation. Google posts updated images on maps showing the location of our military systems (I will not specify). We contact them to fix it quickly, but it’s their weekend. They have no time for this,’ Kovalenko wrote.
He added that the Russians are already actively distributing these images.
Later, the head of the Center wrote that after the public reaction, Google representatives contacted Ukraine. The company claims that it is already working to remedy the situation with the images of Ukrainian military systems.
‘In the future, we will also discuss how to solve any problems promptly,’ Kovalenko concluded.
