All four planes carrying evacuated residents of Russian-occupied Oleshky have landed in Gomel, Belarus. The Ukrainian citizens, together with the Ukrainian delegation, are expected to reach Ukraine within the next few hours.

This was reported by Davyd Arakhamia.

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets also said that the Ukrainian delegation is already in Belarus together with the evacuated Oleshky residents and even their pets.

“We’ll be home soon! We are currently in the Republic of Belarus together with our people and even their pets,” Lubinets wrote.

According to Belarusian state news agency BELTA, the Oleshky residents were first taken by bus to Anapa in Russia, from where they flew to Gomel.

A temporary assistance center was set up for the evacuees at the airport. Doctors, rescuers and Red Cross volunteers met the arrivals, while separate recreation areas were organized for children.

After arriving in Gomel, the evacuees are expected to travel to the Nova Huta border crossing, from where they will enter Ukraine.

Throughout the day, BELTA reported the arrival of the first, second and third planes carrying Oleshky residents. Arakhamia later said that the fourth and final aircraft had also landed in Gomel.

Earlier, “Glavnoe in Ukraine” reported that the Ukrainian delegation had arrived in Oleshky as part of the humanitarian mission, while the ceasefire in the area had already been in effect for 80 hours.
