During the night of June 17, Russian forces carried out five strikes on Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, one person was killed and seven others sought medical assistance.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
The injured were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds, head injuries, and concussions.
The shelling caused fires in a residential building and a shopping center. An educational institution was also damaged, with windows blown out by the blast wave.
In total, nine residential buildings and several non-residential structures were damaged in the Oleksandrivskyi and Kosmichnyi districts of Zaporizhzhia. Among them were five apartment buildings and four private houses. The blast wave shattered windows and damaged roofs. Emergency crews worked throughout the night to deal with the aftermath, and the cleanup operation is ongoing.
