A pre-trial investigation has been launched in Sumy into a war crime that led to the deaths of people, the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.

According to the investigation, on 13 April 2025, at around 10:15 a.m., the Russian military launched two missile strikes on the centre of Sumy.
As of 12:00, it is known that the enemy attack killed 21 people and injured 34, including 5 children.
Rescue operations are underway, the number of victims is being clarified.
