Mayor of Dnipro Boris Filatov addressed residents following the events that occurred the day before not only in the city but across the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

According to Filatov, from a technical standpoint the situation in Dnipro is among the most difficult and can be described as a national-level emergency.

He said that since overnight the city has been operating according to all established emergency response algorithms and remains in constant contact with the regional military administration, relevant ministries and services.

Filatov reported that electricity is gradually being restored in hospitals. He emphasized that medical facilities are equipped with backup power sources and have sufficient reserves to continue operating. The city’s sewage system is also powered.

The left bank of the city is currently supported by alternative power sources. The situation with water supply on the right bank is gradually stabilizing, which the mayor attributed to the extensive efforts of energy workers and municipal services.

As for heating, Filatov said that all boiler houses were left without power the previous day. Work is now underway to restore their operation as soon as possible.

More detailed information about public transport, resilience centers, kindergartens and schools will be provided separately. The mayor said he would continue to keep residents informed about further developments.
