Fico says he would like to come to Moscow for Victory Day

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said he would like to visit Moscow in 2025 to take part in the Victory Day celebrations.

He said this in an interview with the Russian propaganda program “60 Minutes”.

“I would be honored to come to Moscow to participate in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and, above all, the victory over fascism. I feel it is my personal duty,” Fico said.

In his speeches, the Slovak prime minister often repeats the Russian narrative about the causes of the war in Ukraine, in particular Putin’s claim that the current Ukrainian government is running a Nazi state.
