On the night of July 14, Russia attacked Ukraine with 135 drones and ten missiles of various types, most of them ballistic. People were injured in the Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions, while residential buildings and energy, railway and critical infrastructure were damaged.
This was stated in a Telegram post by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Seven people were injured in the Kharkiv region, including a child. Residential buildings, filling stations and railway infrastructure were damaged.
Three people were injured in the Chernihiv region. Russian strikes damaged a residential building and power grid facilities, leaving thousands of families without electricity. Repair work is currently under way.
An apartment building was damaged in Zaporizhzhia.
Russian forces struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles. Sixteen sites were damaged in the capital, including a school and an enterprise.
Critical infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr and Odesa regions also came under attack.
Zelenskyy called for increased pressure on Russia and urged the European Union to adopt its 21st sanctions package this week.
“Every day of delay in sanctions decisions gives Russia additional time to prepare for the sanctions. All components — chips, microchips and dual-use goods — everything Russia uses to prolong the war and strike people must be stopped,” Zelenskyy said.
The president also emphasized the importance of agreements with partners on European anti-ballistic missile defense.
