        Drone strike hits Odesa region, damaging port infrastructure and causing power outages

        On the night of March 26, Russian forces launched a drone attack on the Izmail district of the Odesa region. Damage to infrastructure and residential buildings has been reported, and power outages have occurred in some areas. One casualty has been reported.

        This was reported by the Odesa Regional State Administration and the Izmail District State Administration.

        Port and energy infrastructure were targeted. Damage was reported in Izmail and the Vilkivska community.

        According to Izmail Mayor Andriy Abramchenko, the city came under a massive drone attack. Infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling.

        According to the Odesa Regional State Administration, one person was injured.

        “Due to the attack, power outages are being observed in some settlements. Critical infrastructure has been switched to backup power. Restoration work is ongoing,” wrote Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration.

        According to DTEK Odessa Power Grids, power outages occurred in parts of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Bolhrad, and Izmail districts due to a local grid failure.
