Dobropillia in the Donetsk region remains under Ukrainian control despite Russian claims that the city has allegedly been captured. Kyrylo Budanov said the commander of Russia’s “Center” group of forces, Andrii Ivanayev, had already reported the city’s capture to the Russian leadership and is now demanding that his subordinates demonstrate its seizure at any cost.

This was reported by Kyrylo Budanov.

According to him, the statement came amid “difficult negotiations for a lasting peace,” when it is especially important to assess the situation objectively and provide truthful information.

“The objective fact is that Dobropillia remains under Ukrainian control, and therefore there is no question of Russian forces having ‘captured’ this Ukrainian city,” Budanov said.

He claimed that the commander of Russia’s “Center” group of forces, Colonel General Andrii Ivanayev, is deliberately misinforming the Russian president.

According to Budanov, Ivanayev had already reported the capture of Dobropillia and then began demanding that his subordinates carry out unrealistic tasks in order to substantiate his report.

“Ukraine’s Defense Forces are holding their positions to protect the interests of the state and our land. No false statements will change reality,” Budanov stressed.
