Ukrainian defenders liberated the village of Andriivka in Sumy region, thereby halting the advance of Russian troops towards Khotyn and Pysarivka. This was reported by the monitoring resource DeepState.
After prolonged fighting and mopping up operations, soldiers of the 225th separate assault unit took full control of the village. The enemy was actively entrenching itself in the village, but the Ukrainian assault not only repelled the Russian forces but also forced them to transfer reserves from other directions.
After the liberation of Andriivka, a battalion tactical group of the 110th separate mechanised brigade entered the village to consolidate positions.
DeepState notes that the 225th ASU remains one of the few Ukrainian units capable of effectively conducting offensive operations with minimal losses.
