        Death toll from Russian strike on Kyiv rises to 24, including three children

        Twenty-four people, including three children, were killed in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district as a result of a Russian missile and drone attack. Rescue workers continue search and rescue operations at the site of the destroyed residential building.

        The information was released by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.

        According to rescuers, as of 6:00 a.m. on May 15, 24 people had been confirmed dead in the Darnytskyi district following the strike.

        The State Emergency Service said that three children were among those killed.

        Overall, 47 people were injured across Kyiv, including two children. Another 30 people were rescued.

        Rescuers also said that 398 people received psychological assistance.

        Canine teams inspected 2,800 square meters of territory, while 3,180 cubic meters of debris were removed from the site.

        The State Emergency Service reminded that Russia launched a missile and drone attack on the Ukrainian capital during the night of May 14. Search and rescue operations in the Darnytskyi district are ongoing.
