The Verkhovna Rada has suspended its work indefinitely amid a corruption scandal.
According to Hromadske, Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk announced a break in the session and consultations due to the NABU investigation and the resignation of two ministers.
‘I am now announcing a break in our plenary session. I would like to inform you that, in accordance with the decision of the conciliation council, we are now entering a consultation mode regarding the situation that has arisen. Therefore, we will provide additional information about the next session,’ Stefanchuk said during the session.
Meanwhile, MPs from the European Solidarity party blocked the Verkhovna Rada podium for two days in a row and began collecting signatures for the resignation of the government.
Some representatives of the Servant of the People faction also proposed to immediately start negotiations in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the creation of a coalition of national stability. Earlier, Servant of the People MP Fedir Venislavskyi admitted that the faction was discussing the resignation of Andriy Yermak from the post of head of the President’s Office. According to him, some MPs support this.
