The Council of the European Union has adopted a decision to provide Ukraine with over 3 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility program.
This was reported by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.
According to her, the amount of 3.056 billion euros will serve as a “powerful signal of trust” in Ukraine’s reform course and its ability to ensure stability during challenging times.
Svyrydenko thanked the Danish presidency of the EU Council for their support, emphasizing that such decisions bring Ukraine closer to becoming a strong state within a united Europe.
Reference. Ukraine Facility is a financial support program for Ukraine from the European Union for the years 2024-2027. It is aimed at supporting macroeconomic stability, economic recovery, and reforming its key sectors.
Over the 2024-2027 period, 50 billion euros from the EU will be allocated to finance the state budget, stimulate investments, and provide technical support for the program’s implementation.
Ukraine will receive the funds if it continues democratic reforms, guarantees a multi-party parliamentary system and the rule of law, and respects human rights.
