        Combined Russian attack on Kyiv leaves one dead and several injured

        During the night of January 24, Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Kyiv, using both missiles and drones. As a result of the strike, one person was killed and at least four others were injured.

        Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on the consequences of the attack. In the Desnianskyi district, debris fell onto a non-residential building.

        In the Dniprovskyi district, falling drone debris caused a fire in a garage cooperative, and a fuel tanker caught fire in a parking area. Windows were shattered in a multi-storey residential building due to the blast wave.

        In the Darnytskyi district, drone debris fell near a private medical facility, damaging the building’s windows without causing a fire. In the Holosiivskyi district, falling debris onto non-residential property triggered a fire, while at another location windows were blown out in a private house. In the Solomianskyi district, debris damaged a six-storey office building.

        The State Emergency Service of Ukraine уточнила that in the Holosiivskyi district the top floor of a confectionery factory was destroyed. A woman was killed there, and two other people were injured. A private residential house was also damaged.

        In the Dniprovskyi district, firefighters extinguished a fire in a garage cooperative and a separate blaze involving a fuel tanker, which caused a fuel spill. One person was injured. In the Darnytskyi district, the attack led to damage and a fire in an unoccupied multi-storey residential building, which has since been extinguished. In the Solomianskyi district, an office building was damaged.

        City authorities also reported disruptions to heating and water supply on the left bank of the capital following the attack.
