A ceasefire has begun in designated areas of Oleshky to allow a humanitarian mission to take place. The Ukrainian side is complying with the agreements reached.
The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets reported this.
The ceasefire took effect at 3:00 a.m. Kyiv time and 4:00 a.m. Moscow time in areas connected with the humanitarian mission.
According to Lubinets, the mission is being carried out jointly with Russia’s human rights commissioner Yana Lantratova, with the mediation and coordination of U.S. First Lady Melania Trump.
“The parties are complying with the agreements that we reached as heads of the negotiating groups with Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova,” Lubinets said.
The ombudsman said he would continue to inform the public about developments, taking into account the safety of civilians in Oleshky and compliance with the agreements reached.
Earlier, “Glavnoe in Ukraine” reported that Ukraine would cease fire in the Oleshky area of the Kherson region to allow a humanitarian mission to take place. The General Staff said the ceasefire would apply in designated areas and during specified time periods.
