        Budanov appointed head of the Office of the President of Ukraine: Zelenskyy sets first task

        President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has offered Kyrylo Budanov the position of head of the Office of the President. The new head of the OP has already received his first task.

        Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on social media.

        ‘Ukraine now needs to focus more on security issues, the development of the Ukrainian Defence and Security Forces, as well as on the diplomatic track in negotiations, and the Office of the President will serve to fulfil these tasks of our state first and foremost,’ the statement said.

        According to Zelenskyy, Budanov has special experience in these areas and sufficient strength to achieve results.

        Zelenskyy has instructed the new head of the Office of the President, in cooperation with the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, to update and submit for approval the strategic foundations of Ukraine’s defence and development and further steps.
