According to NOAA, the phenomenon may cause disruptions in satellite communications, GPS navigation, and voltage fluctuations in power grids. Doctors note that during days of strong magnetic storms, headaches, insomnia, irritability, blood pressure fluctuations, and general weakness are more common, especially in weather-sensitive people. It is expected that the northern lights will be visible even in mid-latitudes, weather permitting.
