In early 2025, a pilot project for the return of Ukrainians from abroad is to be launched in Ukraine.
This was reported by Presidential Advisor on Strategic Issues Oleksandr Kamyshyn to Novyny.Live.
The project will be launched between Germany and Ukraine, and one of the main goals is to involve Ukrainian citizens in the defense sector. Kamyshin did not disclose details about the mechanism of this process, but emphasized the importance of the initiative for strengthening national security.
In November, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the creation of the Ministry of Ukrainians’ Unification, which was supposed to work with the Ukrainian community abroad. On December 3, it became known that it was now called the Ministry of National Unity and was created on the basis of the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, whose functions included working with Ukrainians outside the state. The ministry is headed by Oleksiy Chernyshov, the chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
