The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has received a long-awaited reinforcement – the first French Mirage 2000 and F-16 fighters from the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The combat aircraft are already in Ukraine and will soon begin performing combat missions.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
According to the minister, Mirage 2000 will become a new element in the protection of Ukrainian skies, and this strategically important contribution from France is extremely valuable. Umerov also emphasized the importance of the Netherlands’ support, calling the delivery of F-16s another step towards victory and a guarantee of reliable protection of Ukrainian cities and citizens.
“We continue to work systematically together with our partners to increase the number of modern combat aircraft in Ukraine,” Umerov added.
