The death toll from a missile strike on the city of Pryluky in Ukraine’s Chernihiv region has risen to three after a 15-year-old boy died in hospital from his injuries.
The update was announced by Chernihiv Regional Military Administration head Viacheslav Chaus.
“Doctors fought for the child’s life for a long time — he was 15 years old — but unfortunately they could not save him,” Chaus said.
According to him, 23 people are currently known to have been injured in the attack. Six more people suffered acute stress reactions.
The strike also caused significant destruction across the city. Businesses, shopping centers, stores, pharmacies, educational institutions, apartment buildings and private homes were damaged.
In addition, around 30 vehicles were damaged in the attack.
