Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the command post of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Mstyslav the Brave. The unit is carrying out missions in the Lyman sector and is taking part in the “Vivaldi” counteroffensive.
Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on Telegram.
As part of the “Vivaldi” counteroffensive operation, troops from the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade, together with other units of the Third Army Corps, have already returned more than 125 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory to Ukrainian control.
During the visit, Zelenskyy spoke with servicemen and presented them with state awards.
The president also discussed the brigade’s current missions and needs with its commander.
“Thank you for defending our state, sovereignty and territorial integrity. This is very important,” Zelenskyy said.
