On March 18 in Madrid, Ukrainian manufacturers signed four cooperation agreements with Spanish partners. Most of them were concluded with the Sener Group in the field of missile technology and air defense.
This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
During his visit to Spain, the President of Ukraine met with the leadership of the Spanish Sener Aerospace & Defence Group. The result was the signing of three agreements with Ukrainian defense manufacturers.
In the presence of the president, the Ukrainian company Fire Point, the Kyiv State Design Bureau “Luch,” and the research and production enterprise “Radionix” signed cooperation agreements with Sener. The agreements provide for the establishment of cooperation in the missile industry and air defense.
A separate agreement was also signed between the Spanish company Escribano and the Ukrainian manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems, Skyeton. The parties agreed to jointly develop and manufacture laser-guided strike systems based on Ukrainian drones.
During the meeting, Sener’s leadership presented the company’s capabilities, particularly in the development of autonomous systems, communication systems, and participation in air defense programs. The company also manufactures components for IRIS-T missile systems, which are assembled in Germany for Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is interested in joint projects to produce long-range drones and is ready to scale up its own developments.
“Strengthening air defense and protecting lives is our top priority. We expect that all agreements between Ukrainian and Spanish manufacturers will be implemented as soon as possible,” the president said.
