President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine considers L-159 aircraft to be one of the elements of countering massive drone attacks, in particular “suicide drones.” He said that Kyiv would like to receive such aircraft as soon as possible.
In an interview with Czech Radio, Zelensky explained that protecting the skies is a “whole infrastructure” that includes various components, and he sees the L-159 as one of the elements that can help in the fight against large numbers of drones.
The Ukrainian president also spoke about his interest in testing and the possibility of further contracts for new models if a decision is made on the L-159.
