Zelenskyy spoke with Trudeau

On the evening of Tuesday, November 12, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The head of state announced this on his Telegram channel.

“I am grateful to Canada for its comprehensive support, in particular for its principled position on the Victory Plan. We expect that Canada will continue to actively promote the first point of this plan – receiving an invitation to NATO. I called on Justin to continue working with partners both in the framework of future multilateral meetings and in direct negotiations,” Zelenskyy said.

During the conversation, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Canada’s public support for the authorization of the use of long-range weapons against military targets in Russia.

“We agreed on actions before the G20 meeting. It is important that Ukraine’s position on a just and lasting peace be voiced at this summit. We also discussed the continuation of defense cooperation and clarified the current needs of Ukraine in the defense sector,” the President emphasized.
