Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine at night, using almost 150 attack drones. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Facebook.
According to him, as of this morning, ten people have been injured, including a child. In Kyiv, three people were killed in the attack, including a father and his five-year-old daughter. Yesterday, a family was also killed in Zaporizhzhia – a father, mother and 17-year-old daughter. The President expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
‘Such attacks are daily occurrences,’ Zelenskyy stressed. He said that in the last week alone, Russian troops had launched more than 1,580 guided aerial bombs, nearly 1,100 kamikaze drones and 15 missiles of various types. The President stressed that at least 102,000 foreign components were found in these weapons, which indicates the need to strengthen sanctions.
‘Sanctions against Russian terrorists must work more effectively. Every scheme that allows them to circumvent the sanctions regime must be eliminated,’ Zelenskyy said.
He also called for new solutions and increased pressure on Moscow to stop the strikes and the war itself.
‘We need to strengthen Ukraine and our army – more air defence systems and real help. I thank all partners who understand this and continue to support Ukraine,’ the President added.
