The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially received from the United States a draft plan that, in Washington’s assessment, could help intensify diplomatic efforts. The information was reported by the Office of the President.
The President outlined the fundamental principles important for the Ukrainian people and stated that, following today’s meeting, the parties agreed to work on the plan’s points in a way that would lead to a dignified end to the war.
The statement notes that Ukraine has sought peace from the first moments of Russia’s invasion and supports all meaningful proposals capable of bringing genuine peace closer. Since the beginning of this year, Ukraine has supported President Donald Trump’s proposals aimed at stopping the bloodshed and remains ready to work constructively with the United States and partners in Europe and around the world.
The President expects to discuss available diplomatic opportunities and the key points needed for peace with President Trump in the coming days.
