Zelenskyy imposes sanctions on a number of people: Yuriy Boyko is stripped of the title of Hero of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed Decree No. 38/2025, which approves the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine of 19 January 2025.

According to the President’s website, the document provides for the introduction of personal economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) against a number of individuals. Among them:

  • Nestor Ivanovych Shufrych
  • Yevhen Muraiev
  • Yuriy Anatoliyovych Boyko

The following individuals were also subject to sanctions: Yevgeniy Gorokhov, Leonid Baisarov, Oleksandr Odnoralenko, Leonid Litvinov, Oleh Voloshin, Petro Simonenko, and Konstantin Grigorishin, Sergey Karyakin, Ruzhena Rubleva, Vadim Pisarev, Ilya Reznik, Vasily Gerello, Yuri Bashmet, Viktor Sadovnichy, and Svetlana Kryukova.

According to the decree, Yuriy Boyko was also stripped of the title of Hero of Ukraine.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine is responsible for monitoring the implementation of this decision. The decree comes into force from the moment of its official publication.
