President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the consequences of another massive Russian strike on the night of July 4. According to him, it was one of the largest and most cynical attacks – the enemy used a total of 550 air targets, including at least 330 Shahed and missiles, including ballistic missiles.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this on social media.

The President noted that the first air alerts began almost simultaneously with the media discussion of Trump’s phone conversation with Putin.

“Russia is once again demonstrating that it is not going to end the war and terror. Only at about 9 a.m. this morning did the air raid alert go off in Kyiv. It was a rough, sleepless night,” the president wrote.

The capital was the biggest target, with the air raid alert in Kyiv lasting until around 9:00. The defense forces shot down 270 targets, another 208 drones were suppressed by electronic warfare, and interceptor drones were operating. Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of further support from partners in defending against ballistic missiles, in particular with Patriot systems.

The strike affected Kyiv, as well as Dnipro, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions. As of now, 23 people have been reported injured and are being treated.
