President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukrainian long-range weapons struck a military facility in the Russian city of Cheboksary during the night of June 10. According to him, FP-5 Flamingo missiles were used in the attack.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo missiles hit a military plant in Cheboksary that supplies the Russian army with components for drones and missiles.
“We continue to apply Ukrainian long-range sanctions against Russian military facilities and the oil industry. In particular, last night Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo missiles struck a military plant in Cheboksary that supplies the occupying army with components for drones and missiles. I thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their precision,” the president said.
He also reported a strike on the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Russia’s Samara region.
According to the president, the facility is located more than 900 kilometers from the front line.
In addition, Zelenskyy said that two oil infrastructure facilities in Russia’s Vladimir region, located about 700 kilometers from Ukraine, were also hit.
The president thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Special Operations Forces, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and the Security Service of Ukraine for their work.
“I am grateful to the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces, the Unmanned Systems Forces, and the Main Intelligence Directorate. The Security Service of Ukraine also delivered entirely justified responses against two oil infrastructure facilities in the Vladimir region. Thank you to everyone who fights and works for Ukraine,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
