President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the new attack by Russian drones amid Putin’s statements about the alleged ‘Easter truce’. He posted this on social media on 19 April.
He emphasised the cynicism of the Russian authorities’ actions, as despite Putin’s statements about a truce, Ukraine was attacked by attack drones again on the evening of 19 April.
‘Air alert is now spreading across the territory of Ukraine. At 17:15, Russian attack drones were spotted in our skies. Ukrainian air defence and aviation have already started working to defend ourselves. ‘Chessmen‘ in our skies are Putin’s true attitude to Easter and to people’s lives,’ Zelenskyy said.
According to the President, the Ukrainian military continues to be active in the Kursk region and holds its positions. In the Belgorod region, the Defence Forces have advanced and expanded the zone of control.
