According to Zelenskyy, the primary task is to strengthen protection against Russian drones in Kherson, Nikopol, and border communities in the Sumy region, where Russian troops have effectively launched a permanent ‘safari’ against the civilian population. The President stressed that strikes on residential buildings, civilian infrastructure and transport are recorded every day, and Ukraine must respond with more effective protection.

Zelensky named the second task as scaling up countermeasures against ‘Shahed’ and other Russian strike drones. According to him, more defence lines and barriers will be created. The third priority is to share the experience of successful units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces so that effective solutions can be quickly implemented in other units.

The president stressed that the development of ‘small’ anti-drone air defence is critical for protecting people and civilian infrastructure in the face of constant attacks by the Russian Federation.
