Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a bilateral meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the C8 summit. The main topics were preserving unity, working together to end the war, and a new package of Polish assistance for Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this on Telegram.
“Ukraine and Poland are strong neighbors, friends and partners, and we have one common enemy. Today, first and foremost, we discussed how important it is to preserve our unity and work together to stop this war,” the president said.
According to him, the sides primarily discussed the importance of maintaining unity and working together to stop the war.
Zelenskyy also thanked Poland for the new aid package, calling it an important step in supporting Ukraine.
The two sides also discussed the further development of the Carpathian Initiative and the opportunities it could provide for the countries of the Carpathian macro-region. The president added that Ukraine is ready to share its experience with Poland and is open to mutually beneficial cooperation.
