In closed official reports, Russia estimates its losses at 1.315 million killed and seriously wounded. The Ukrainian side has reason to believe these figures are underestimated.

Zelenskyy also said the briefing analyzed Russia’s intentions to take advantage of the situation around Iran and the possible prolongation of a US military operation.

According to him, Russia aims to increase the risk of a prolonged war in the Middle East and the Gulf region in order to weaken international pressure over the war against Ukraine, ease sanctions from partners, and gain additional resources due to fluctuations in oil and gas prices.

Ukrainian intelligence has also obtained updated information about cooperation between Russia and North Korea. Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian military intelligence for its effective work.
