        Ukrainian forces strike Tolyattikauchuk plant in Russia’s Samara region

        On the night of September 12, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Tolyattikauchuk plant in the city of Tolyatti, in Russia’s Samara region. A hit was recorded on the premises, followed by a fire.

        This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

        According to the General Staff, the plant specializes in the production of synthetic rubber, monomers, fractions and high-octane gasoline additives.

        The military command noted that synthetic rubber is used, among other things, in the production of solid rocket fuel for tactical and ballistic missiles.

        The extent of the damage to the facility is still being assessed.
