On October 27, Russian troops launched a large-scale mechanized attack near Dobropillia in the Ocheretyne sector, attempting to seize the settlements of Shakhove and Volodymyrivka.

According to the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov,” the enemy deployed 29 armored vehicles, making it one of the most extensive assaults in recent weeks. A notable feature of the attack was the increased number of tanks used by Russian forces.

The invaders tried to complicate Ukrainian defenses by advancing in small groups of 4–5 vehicles along different routes and at different times. They also relied on poor weather conditions that limited the use of Ukrainian drones. However, their plan failed.

Thanks to well-prepared defensive positions, effective minefields, and coordinated actions by Ukrainian artillery units, National Guard brigades, and drone crews, the assault—lasting over six hours—was completely repelled.

Ukrainian defenders destroyed 15 enemy vehicles, including two tanks, twelve armored combat vehicles, and one car. Enemy infantry that disembarked from the vehicles was eliminated by FPV drones. The clearing of landing areas continues.
