Ukrainian developers have created a technology that allows the interception of Russian Shahed drones to be almost fully automated. The system has already successfully passed combat testing in the Kharkiv region.

This was announced by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

The new-generation technology for countering Russian Shahed attack drones was developed within the Brave1 platform. The solution automates 95% of the interception process — from drone launch to target destruction.

During operation, the operator monitors airborne targets in real time, selects the desired target, and gives the command to engage. After that, the system independently guides the interceptor drone, identifies the target, and locks onto it without additional human intervention.

The technology has already undergone successful combat testing in the Kharkiv region.

“Thanks to Brave1’s support, the manufacturer was able to go from a prototype to successful combat deployment in less than a year. Autonomy is one of the key directions in the development of modern air defense,” Fedorov wrote.

According to him, such technologies make it possible to respond more quickly to massive drone attacks and improve the protection of Ukrainian cities. The scaling of solutions that have already proven their effectiveness in combat conditions is ongoing.
