On August 11, drones belonging to the Main Intelligence Directorate attacked the Orenburg Helium Plant, the only helium production facility in Russia and one of the largest in Europe.
This was reported by Militarnyi, citing intelligence sources.
The plant is located in the city of Orenburg and produces helium, which is used in rocket construction, the space and aviation industries, and is one of the key facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex.
The Orenburg Helium Plant is owned by Gazprom’s subsidiary Gazprom Processing LLC and has a processing capacity of about 15 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.
