Ukraine’s General Staff said Ukrainian forces used domestically developed strike systems, including RS-1 “Bars,” FP-1 “Firepoint,” and BARS-SM “GLADIATOR,” during attacks on targets in the Moscow region. The strikes reportedly hit a microchip manufacturing plant, oil infrastructure facilities and Russian command posts.
This was stated in a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the statement, on May 16 and during the night of May 17, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of important Russian military targets.
In particular, Ukrainian forces hit the “Angstrem” enterprise in Zelenograd, Moscow region, which specializes in producing microchips and high-tech components for precision weapons.
“A fire was recorded on the territory of the facility,” the General Staff said.
The military added that the plant is an important part of Russia’s military-industrial complex and is involved in producing microelectronics, radio electronics, optical systems and robotics for military purposes.
Ukrainian forces also struck the “Solnechnogorskaya” pumping station in the Moscow region. The facility is part of the oil products pipeline network around Moscow and is used for pumping, storing and shipping gasoline and diesel fuel, including for the Russian military.
A fire was also reported at the site.
In addition, Ukrainian forces hit a Russian command post near Bunge in Donetsk region and UAV control points near Dvorichna in Kharkiv region, Zavitne in Kherson region and Udachne in Donetsk region.
The Defense Forces also struck concentrations of Russian personnel near Myrne in Donetsk region, Krasnohirske in Zaporizhzhia region, Volfynske in Russia’s Kursk region, and Novoekonomichne in Donetsk region.
The General Staff thanked soldiers of the 412th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade, the 107th Kremenchuk Rocket Artillery Brigade, the 19th Missile Brigade “Saint Barbara,” the 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center and other Ukrainian Defense Forces units.
