        Ukraine to help UAE strengthen air defense and critical infrastructure protection

        President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. The sides agreed to cooperate in security and defense, including strengthening air defense and critical infrastructure protection.

        This was reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine. During the talks, the leaders discussed the work of the Ukrainian team in the UAE, which is helping to enhance protection of lives, as well as the regional security situation, including strikes by Iran and the blocking of the Strait of Hormuz.

        Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has experience in countering aerial threats and is ready to share systemic solutions that ensure a high interception rate of drones and missiles. This experience is to be integrated to strengthen air defense and protect critical infrastructure in the UAE.

        The sides also discussed long-term cooperation, including investments, joint production and modernization of protection systems for social and critical infrastructure.

        Zelenskyy also met with Ukrainian experts who have been working in the UAE for several weeks. They reported on consultations with UAE security and defense representatives and ongoing work to enhance protection against aerial threats.

        According to the president, there is already a clear understanding of how to strengthen protection systems in the UAE by integrating Ukrainian experience. The teams are finalizing the details of the agreements.
