Another €3.9 billion from the European Union has been transferred to the special fund of Ukraine’s State Budget. The money will be used to finance priority defense needs.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this.

According to her, the funds will be directed toward the production of Ukrainian drones, strengthening the capabilities of the defense industry, and ensuring urgent supplies for the needs of the front line.

Svyrydenko said this is the first tranche specifically intended for defense support under the new financial instrument Ukraine Support Loan.

She also recalled that on June 25, Ukraine’s state budget received €3.2 billion for budgetary support under the same loan.

Thus, the total amount Ukraine has received under the Ukraine Support Loan instrument now stands at €7 billion.
