SBU CI detained in Lviv region a member of an international criminal group engaged in drug smuggling and sale in the EU countries.
The man was on the Interpol wanted list for 6 years, the SBU reports.
The offender, who is a citizen of an EU country, was hiding in Ukraine, hoping to avoid criminal liability. However, the SBU conducted a multi-stage special operation during which he was exposed and detained.
The detainee is currently in custody, and law enforcement officers are working on his extradition to his country of origin, which initiated the search.
