Talks between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Florida have concluded, and both sides described them as productive. Representatives of Ukraine and the United States gave comments to journalists after the meeting, which was broadcast by Suspilne.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that it is important not only to end the war but also to ensure Ukraine’s security against new invasions and create conditions for an era of prosperity. He noted that a foundation had been laid during the negotiations in Geneva, and that the current meeting marked another step forward, though much work still lies ahead. Rubio also stated that special envoy Steve Witkoff is departing for Moscow for contacts with the Russian side.
NSDC Secretary of Ukraine Rustem Umerov called the meeting productive and successful. He thanked the US representatives for helping “lay the foundations of a future prosperous Ukraine” and emphasized that the United States supports Ukraine in all important matters.
