Ukraine and Saudi Arabia have agreed on defense cooperation. The relevant document was signed ahead of a meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on March 27.
The agreement between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia lays the groundwork for future contracts, technological cooperation, and investments.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is ready to share its own experience in the field of defense against missile and drone attacks.
We are ready to share our expertise and systems with Saudi Arabia and cooperate to strengthen the protection of lives. For five years now, Ukrainians have been fighting against the very same terrorist strikes using ballistic missiles and drones that the Iranian regime is currently carrying out in the Middle East and the Gulf region. And Saudi Arabia has what Ukraine is interested in. This cooperation can be mutually beneficial, the president wrote.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the situation in the Middle East, Russia’s support for Iran, as well as energy issues and the state of fuel markets.
