Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov met with representatives of the Intergovernmental Agency for Defence Cooperation (AMOS) of the Czech Ministry of Defence and representatives of leading Czech defence companies. The parties discussed concrete steps to accelerate the delivery of assistance to Ukraine and expand cooperation.
According to Umerov, cooperation with AMOS has already demonstrated its effectiveness, so special attention was paid to the following areas
- production and supply of large-calibre ammunition;
- exchange of military technologies;
- development of industrial cooperation between Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
In addition, new joint projects are being launched, including the production of rifles under the Danish funding model. Some of these weapons are already being manufactured in the Czech Republic, while negotiations are underway to localise production in Ukraine.
The Minister of Defence thanked the Czech government and defence companies for their support, noting that their contribution plays an important role in strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
