Ukraine has received a $4.8 billion tranche from the World Bank as part of the PEACE project, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
According to him, this is the largest investment project in the Bank’s history, aimed at supporting Ukraine in implementing reforms, developing social and educational spheres, medicine, the agricultural sector, and recovery initiatives.
“We are sincerely grateful to the United States and international partners for funding this project, as well as to the World Bank for their continued support and participation in strengthening Ukraine,” Shmyhal said.
In total, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received almost $50 billion in assistance through World Bank programs.
