Ukraine and the United Kingdom have taken another important step in strengthening their air defence. Delegations from the defence ministries of the two countries have signed a licence agreement for the Ukrainian Octopus interceptor drone. This was announced by Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, the agreement is a historic precedent and has created the conditions for the production of Ukrainian interceptors in the UK. Octopus drones have proven their effectiveness in combating shahids and can now be manufactured on a large scale.
It is planned that production will reach several thousand units per month. All interceptors manufactured will be transferred to Ukraine to strengthen its airspace defence.
Denys Shmyhal thanked British partners for their cooperation, support and contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s air defence.
