Units of the Khartia Corps established control over the Kupiansk City Council building. The Charter search and strike group, together with the Kupiansk tactical group, are completing the mopping up of the city, which was successfully unblocked during an operation led by the command of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Soldiers from the reconnaissance and strike group of the 4th Battalion of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine ‘Charter’ raised the Ukrainian flag over the city hall building in the city centre.
Colonel Ihor Obolenskyi, commander of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine ‘Charter,’ noted that the Kupiansk operation demonstrates the effectiveness of an approach that combines careful planning, preparation of commanders and staff, and high-quality training of units. According to him, it is this approach, which the corps calls the ‘Charter’ method, that allows them to successfully stop and destroy the enemy.
The corps emphasises that Kupiansk was and remains a Ukrainian city, and the operation to unblock and clear it continues.
