The Russian occupiers continue to exert pressure north of Kurakhove, concentrating their efforts along the Kurakhove reservoir. Their goal is to capture Staryi Terniv, where some enemy infantry units have already been spotted on the outskirts of the village. Thus, it can be assumed that Berestki has completely fallen under the enemy’s control. Unfortunately, false reports about the alleged holding of positions are still being spread in the area, according to the DeepState telegram channel.
Fierce fighting for Sontsovka continues. Despite the enemy’s constant breakthroughs, Ukrainian defence forces are effectively restraining the attacks, inflicting significant losses on the occupiers.
The situation in Kurakhove itself
In the town, the enemy is actively advancing from the east. Russian units are trying to gain a foothold in the central part of the city, in particular, in the area of high-rise buildings on Peremohy Street and Prokofiev Avenue. The enemy infantry is gradually penetrating into the city’s neighbourhoods, expanding its area of control.
However, the occupiers are facing a serious challenge – the industrial zone of Kurakhove, which they have already begun to destroy with artillery strikes. A breakthrough from Staryi Terni could significantly complicate the holding of the industrial zone by Ukrainian forces, as the enemy will be able to attack it from two directions, blocking important logistical routes.
Enemy activity in the ‘pocket’ area
The fighting in the Elizavetivka-Romanivka-Hannivka-Uspenivka area continues unabated. Enemy infantry and equipment are attacking from several directions. The occupants have increased pressure from Trudove on Uspenivka, trying to complete the encirclement of the area. Attempts to assault from the direction of Dalne also continue.
Southern flank of Kurakhove
South of Kurakhove, Russian troops are trying to improve their tactical position in the Yasna Polyana-Maksymivka area by moving towards the H15 road. Their goal is to create additional pressure on Ukrainian positions in the area.
