On the night of 8 June (from 21.00 on 7 June), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 49 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of simulator drones, as well as an Onyx anti-ship missile and two X-59/69 guided missiles, the Ukrainian Air Force Command reports.
The main areas of the air strike are Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.
‘As of 09.00, air defence defences have neutralised 40 enemy Shahed-type UAVs (other types of drones) in the east, south, north and centre of the country. 22 were shot down by firepower, 18 were locally lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.
Enemy air strikes were recorded in 5 locations,’ the military said in a statement.
